Dragons Abreast

Sunshine Coast Dragons Abreast (SCDA) Mavericks has its roots in breast cancer survivor dragon boating. We proudly support men and women who have faced breast cancer, encouraging active and healthy lives through the sport. 

We compete at regattas against other breast cancer survivor teams in Queensland, interstate, and internationally. 

Our club is affiliated with Dragons Abreast Australia (DAA) and the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission (IBCPC). All club members are encouraged to join DAA as survivors or supporters. 

On the first Saturday of the month, we wear something pink in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer, followed by morning tea and a chat at the container.
